When Gina moved from Spain to Sweden, she lost her professional footing, and eventually herself. But through a deep love for food, health, and her daughter’s wellbeing, she began a new journey.
Growing up in a family of food entrepreneurs, Gina was no stranger to the restaurant world. From a young age, she helped run cafés and kitchens in Spain. But after moving to Sweden and becoming a mother, her career took an unexpected turn.
– I went through a deep depression. I was lost. This wasn’t the life I wanted.
To reconnect with herself, she turned to what she loved most – cooking. That’s when Gigi Foods was born. But Gina’s journey into health-conscious food started even earlier, when she and her husband struggled with fertility. A complete lifestyle change, removing toxins and eating only real, unprocessed food, led not only to a pregnancy, but a deep conviction.
– Food can change lives. And eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring.
A business built on real food
Gigi Foods is built around a simple idea: real food, made simple. Gina creates and sells a growing line of high-quality, nutrient-dense products like ghee, activated nuts, sea salt and broths. She even offers toxin-free stainless steel thermos bottles and plans to expand into healthy catering.
– My dream is to have ready-to-eat and ready-to-use meals that support everyday health.
What makes Gina stand out? Everything is made from scratch. No shortcuts, no additives.
Finding her feet with Drivhuset
Despite her passion and experience, Gina hit a wall when she tried to take her business to the next level. The Swedish system, language, and laws felt overwhelming.
– I was completely stuck. I thought “maybe I should just quit”.
That’s when she found Drivhuset and enrolled in the Potential 15 program. Through workshops, coaching, and peer support, she found new direction and confidence.
– The private coaching helped me get clear and structured. And just knowing I wasn’t alone meant a lot.
Big vision, small steps
Gina dreams of having her own production kitchen and a team of health professionals working alongside her. But she’s also learned that trying to do everything at once doesn’t work.
– I wanted to launch everything at the same time. But it was too much. Start with what you have, you don’t need to be perfect to begin.
Gina’s message to aspiring entrepreneurs is grounded and encouraging:
– Be patient. Be consistent. Be resilient. Do a little every day. And most of all – start. Even if all you have is a pen.
